We have hiked for days to get as far from civilization as possible. We make camp and begin enjoying our solitude. Just as the sun sets, far off in the distance... Was that a howl or a roar or a scream? Something wanted us to know, it knew we were here. We brewed the coffee for we knew this would be a long night. We sat around the fire, surrounded by darkness tell of the sightings we had been part of before. We all kept glancing into the darkness of the forest looking for any movement, any motion. In the wee hours of the morning, we all sat quietly, and something stirred... Something big. We all turned to the sound. It was him! He was watching us. We all scurried to grab a camera, but we should have known it wasn't going to happen. He ran off through the tree with a stride unmatchable. We all set back down at the fire, sipped our robust coffee and smiled knowing we had all just had a Deep, Dark Sasquatch Sighting and it was good.
