On the outskirts of town, there is an abandoned mine. It is in the forest nowadays, but there is still a path to it. There is also a legend that goes with the mine. I'm going to see for myself. It wasn't morning, and wouldn't be for hours. Thee tree were shrouded in darkness as I walked. I felt a bit insecure, but I had my coffee, so I was awake and alert. As I neared the mine, I felt uneasy... As if someone or something were watching my every move. I looked about, but I could see nothing. I reached the opening. The front had been ripped off like a bulldozer had escaped through it. I didn't even have to enter the mine, my expedition had not been in vain. There, just inside were two glowing, red eyes! I took a sip of coffee and brought my flashlight up onto the Mothman. His legend did not exaggerate. He looked at me and took flight. The wind and sound was amazing. As he disappeared into the sky, I enjoyed more coffee and smiled knowing I was now part of the legend. I had just had a Red-eyed Rouge Mothman Sighting, wow what a feeling.
